The north wind ruffled a tiny cloud away from the moon. And it shone down brightly as though offering hope and promising Sidney strength to overcome his pending temptations as he strode back home alone. I am wide-awake now, I will pray tonight like I never did before. By all means I must overcome this temptations. He tried to think.
A dog barked behind him, he turned in time to see a figure emerge out of the little house he had just passed. With the light of the moon he saw that the figure was no other person but Faith. She was beckoning on him to wait. For a moment he did not know whether to run or wait for her. He was confused, was this, the real Faith or a spirit? What is she doing outside at this time of the night? A thousand questions were racing through his mind. A sudden cold feeling enwrapped his entire being as he tried to look into her eyes. Before him was the most beautiful woman he has ever saw. She was wrapped only with a light blue wrapper that accented her delicate features and lush dark hair, her eyes full of kindness and love. She was different that, it was like she had added more to her beauty.
Her angelic voice jolted him back to reality when she said, ‘I had a bad dream and I just can’t go back to sleep.’
‘Why not go back in there and try to sleep, it is very late, tomorrow we will talk about your dream.’ He found himself saying with such courage he never thought was there. He tried to walk away but his legs were heavy and his mind was racing abnormally.
‘No, I don’t think I can sleep again; this is the third time I have to come out of the room because I can’t sleep. And this time God brought you here.’ She said like a child learning how to use the tongue for the first time as she followed him.
Does she think I am Joseph the interpreter of dreams? He thought. Trying to think of how to send her back.
Looking ahead to avoid looking at her he saw a white tall creature, standing at the cross road that lead to the church, the primary school and the cemetery. The creature was so tall that he can’t see the head yet it was a little lifted from the ground. He opened his month to shout but the hand on his shoulder reminded him that he was not alone. Should he screamed and show his fear before a woman. From all indication it was like the lady had not seen the creature or so he thought. He will frighten her if he gave a shout. And it will be a shame for a man of God like him to scream because of some strange creature.
He was spiritually and emotionally devastated. Paralyzed by fear he allowed the lady to hanged her hand over his shoulders leaning on him as they slowly advance home. It was late in the night no single soul was found anywhere.
Her dark silky hair was cold against his finger, he tried to wake up; before him was a totally naked irresistible woman. Could it be a dream? He tried to pray but he was too weak to do so. He felt urinating ...
